How is Throat Pain Recognized?
Throat pain can be diagnosed in a variety of ways. A doctor may perform a physical examination, review your medical history, and/or request tests and/or imaging.
Treatment for a sore throat
A doctor may prescribe antibiotics if a sore throat is caused by a bacterial infection. Even if they feel better before finishing all of the medication, people should always complete the course.
A sore throat caused by a viral infection normally does not require medical attention. moderate pain killers can aid with discomfort and fever, and
paediatric versions of these drugs are available.
A person with epiglottitis might need to stay in the hospital for a while. They may require intubation to help them breathe in severe circumstances. If testing identify a tumour or another reason, the doctor will talk to the patient about treatment choices.
